A hiss of pain passed through him, but he didn’t try to stop me. My fingers dug into his shoulders as I sucked deep pulls of blood from him. I wasn’t gentle. In fact, I was rough with him as I drank from his celestial veins.

Sugary sweet blood rolled over my tongue. I moaned in delight as the hunger pain in my stomach and throat all but disappeared. The raw brutality of his power seeped into me, and my injuries were healing from the magic that flowed in his blood. I drew more and more into my mouth and gulped it greedily like I’d never have enough.

I’d never gone without blood for as long as I had, and my vampire instincts were in overdrive as logic took the backseat. My knees dug into the cold floor on either side of his waist, where I straddled him.

I was nowhere near as strong as he was in my condition, and he could easily push me off. But he didn’t. His hands trailed up my waist, pushing under the fabric of my shirt until his fingers hit my bare skin and a groan of pleasure escaped him.

My focus was only on feeding off him to sate the hunger until his fingers dipped into my skin so hard it hurt and he pulled me down as his hips bucked up against me. I felt the bulge of his arousal between my thighs, and it was like ice cold water was dropped on me.

Yanking my fangs out of him, I reared back. His grip tightened further, and bruising spread from each finger holding my hips in place. His long, silver hair was feathered back as his eyes glazed over in a lustful haze.

“Let go of me.” My voice was trembling, but I held his gaze.

I wasn’t afraid of him. He didn’t hold that power over me.

“You drank from me.” His lips quirked into a radiant smile. “I’ve never been fed off of before. It’s quite an…intimate experience.”

Intimate?

Bile burned the back of my throat, and the reality of what I’d done slammed into me full force.

I’d fed off the angel that killed me. I swallowed the urge to empty my stomach all over him because I damn well needed the blood I took.

Gabriel’s hands on my hips sent a thick wave of disgust over me. “My instincts took over. Don’t be stupid. You know I’d never touch you if it wasn’t a last resort,” I snapped.

The smile fell from his face, and he flipped us over. My skull smacked painfully against the floor with a loud crack as he hovered above me with my wrists pinned over my head.

Fucking hell. Pain exploded in the back of my head. “Watch your fucking strength.”

He inched close, and his nose met mine. “Darling, you may want to watch your words carefully. I let you drink from me after all.”

My head fogged as it throbbed in sync with my pulse. “Fuck.”

He huffed before his other hand slipped behind my head and the pain dissipated. “You’re so fragile.”

“I wonder whose fault that is,” I spat.

“It’s not mine,” he muttered. “I’ve been trying to find out how to get that off, but I haven’t found a way yet.”

My brows shot up. “Why would you do that?”

He released me and slid off my body. “I told you. I wouldn’t intentionally hurt you.”

I bit my tongue and sat up. He’d hurt me more times than I could count. He was truly fucking crazy.

“Who gave you the bracelet, Gabriel?”

“I can’t tell you.”

A heaviness still loomed over me, and my muscles quivered. I still needed essence to feed my demon side, but I could curb that craving for a bit longer…I hoped.

“Please, leave.” I brought my knees to my chest. “I need to be alone.”

“Why?” He moved his hair off his shoulder. “You’ve been fed. Don’t you feel better?”

“No.” A dull ache throbbed in my chest. Fuck. What would the guys think of this?

No. They wouldn’t be mad. They’d just be fucking happy I was okay but want to murder Gabriel.
