Gabriel’s heavy hand fell on my shoulder, and I jerked.

“Sorry.” I shook my head, swallowing painfully as my hunger started to build. Gabriel didn’t visit yesterday, and I hadn’t fed on any blood. My hunger for essence was starting up again as well, but I wanted to hold out as long as I could for that one.

“Hunter, you’re not mad at me?” I asked my older brother with a hesitant voice.

I’d brought death and destruction into their home after all. I knew Dean still blamed me for Corbin no matter what he said.

He shook his head. “No, Lil. I don’t blame you. I’m happy you tried connecting with us after becoming a vampire, but I also get that it was dangerous. You did what you thought would keep us safe.”

Relief flooded through me, and I almost collapsed from his words. “Thank you.”

“You don’t have to thank me. I want to see my little sister happy,” he said. “Even if it’s with…three different guys?”

“Four,” Emma corrected with a wink my way, and I laughed.

“Yes, four.”

“Back to why we asked you to come.” Gabriel cleared his throat as he stepped into the conversation. “Do you think you can get a message to Hell?”

Emma bobbed her head as soon as he’d asked. “Yeah, we recently made friends with this angel who has been sleeping with some hellhounds…twins, I think.”

“Brann and Oren, I’m sure!” Giddiness whirled inside me at the prospect of getting a message to my guys.

“Yep!” She snapped her fingers. “That’s them!”

“Can you pass a message on to the twins for me?”

“Of course, what do you need me to tell him?”

“Him?” Gabriel asked, his brows furrowing together. “I thought the twins were only into girls.”

I snorted. “No. The twins are into hot.”

He rolled his eyes. “Well, it makes sense why you’ve slept with them.”

Hunter wheezed. “Ew. I didn’t need to know that.”

Emma giggled. “What do you need me to pass along?”

“I don’t know where we are, and Gabriel can’t tell me.” I clasped my hands together. “But being as you’re here, I’m hoping you know?”

They nodded.

“Fantastic.” I released a breath of relief. “Tell them exactly where I am and how to get to me. And tell them I’m okay, that I love them, and I’ll kick their asses if they don’t find me soon.”

Hunter chuckled. “That’s the Lil we know and love.”

“Also…” I flicked my gaze toward Gabriel. “Tell them Gabriel’s not our enemy right now. Tell them it’s a blood witch. As soon as I can take this bracelet off, I should be able to use my powers again.”

“Okay.” Emma nodded, her braided pigtails swaying. “We need to head out so I can find the angel or I’ll forget all that.”

I wrapped my arms around them both and hugged them tight. “I love you guys. Thank you for helping me.”

“We’ll always help you, Lil,” Hunter said.

“We’ll come visit soon, but hopefully we won’t have to.” Emma grinned.

“I just hope we can get you out of here and that bracelet off before we know what the blood witch has planned,” Gabriel said.
