"Let me know if you change your mind." He paused to take another drink. "These bitches is bad," he gestured around the room. "but they ain't hitting on my chicks I used to have in this muhfucka." Syrus tapped my chest lightly. "Bad as fuck," he emphasized. "A lil' brown-skinned broad, with blonde hair that could fuck your world up. And a thick ass, caramel-skinned chick that could fuck your mind up. Face of an angel with a body made for sin." He sat back with a sigh. "I miss them ho's man."

I laughed, "So why they ain't here?"

Syrus shrugged. "Muhfucka's say they working at some bougie ass brothel ran by this bitch named Madam."

My ears perked up then. I looked over at him with interest. "What are their names?"

"The blond's name is Ronnie, and the caramel one is Gianna."

I froze for a second.

So…she wasn’t new to this then. If I had shown up at one of his parties earlier, our paths would have crossed sooner. I had been thinking about her like a muhfucka too. And every time I did, my dick got hard. I wasn't trying to overindulge, but I was already planning to extend those one to two times a month visits, to once a week. She had a nigga kinda in a tailspin.

"You fuck 'em?" I asked.

Syrus laughed. "Tore that shit out the frame. Both of 'em."

I felt an unexpected jolt of jealousy hit me.

"Shit set me back ten racks," he continued. "They ass wasn’t cheap, but they made the price all worth it. They set that shit out proper." He let out a low whistle. "I ain't had a night to top that." Taking another sip he continued. "I ran into Gianna not too long ago. She was leaving the gym with some dude. Might've been her nigga, I don't know." He shrugged again. "I almost shot his bitch ass though."

Her nigga.Ain't no way she had a man. I ran my tongue across my teeth, processing.

"Why you looking like that?" Syrus tapped my arm. "You good?"

I shook off the conflicting feelings and turned to him. "I'm good, bruh. Matter fact…" I reached in my pocket and pulled out the knot. "Let me recoup that 10k for you right now." I handed him the money.

Syrus grinned widely, accepting it. "My nigga. Good looking out."

He dapped me and we pulled each other into a quick hug before pulling apart.

I took another swig, longer and set the bottle down. "I'ma get up outta here." I stood.

"Already?" Syrus looked up holding his arms out.

"You got it, bruh. Plus, you got all the entertainment you need for the night." I looked over and saw the twins watching us closely. Beckoning them over, they strolled over taking their places back at his side. "Y'all take care of my nigga tonight, aight."

"Okay," they replied in unison.

Syrus smiled and stood. "Appreciate you for dropping in, my nigga. I'll get up with you tomorrow."

"No doubt. Enjoy your night, bruh. You good on security?" My eyes scanned the room again.

He nodded. "Hell yeah," he replied confidently. "Got shooters all in this bitch. I'm good."

"Good shit." With one final dap, I headed out.

The plan was to go home…but an hour later I found myself pulling up to Siren House. I walked in, that familiar feeling of calm hitting me. This time it was accompanied by this lil' bitch ass ball of nerves in my stomach.

The hostess greeted me. "I don't have you on the schedule, Mr. Avery."

"I'm not," I responded. "Can you see if Madam is available for a quick conversation though."

"Sure." She nodded. "Give me just a second." She stepped away and disappeared down the hallway. Five minutes later she returned. "Madam is available. You can head back."

"Thank you," I gave her a nod and walked towards Madam's office. I knocked twice and waited.

"Who is it?" her voice called from inside.
