Falcon raises his hands in surrender. “It was a simple question.”

“Rain knows the score. She’s been a part of this club since the day she was born. She would never betray us, not like that,” Prairie says with authority.

“She insinuated that she would bite him if he came back to her work and harassed her,” I muse, making the brothers chuckle.

“I wouldn’t want to get on her bad side.” Eagle smirks.

“But seriously, what do we do?” I ask again.

We all look to Panther, who’s staring at the wall, his mind clearly running a million miles a minute.

“We keep our heads down and keep quiet. We stick close to home and give them no reason to bother us. In the meantime, Meek, keep digging. Let’s figure out how deep this grudge goes and see what we can use to our advantage. End goal, he disappears,” Panther says. “Everyone on board?”

“Aye,” we all say in unison.

It’s not much, and even though I know the storm isn’t over, at least now I know that Rain and I aren’t doing this alone. The club has our backs, no matter what happens.

CHAPTER

TWENTY-FOUR

Rain

“You ready?”Ridge asks as he leans against the jamb of the bathroom doorway.

I fasten my earrings before turning to him. “I am. How do I look?”

His eyes rake over my body as he takes me in. I can see the desire in his eyes. He likes what he sees.

Why wouldn’t he, though?

Slowly, I turn and lift my hair so he can see the back of my jacket. The low growl he lets out tells me he knows what I’m wearing.

Tonight is the reopening of the club-owned bar to the public. We are going to show our support and have a few drinks with our friends. It’s also the first time I decided to wear my Property of Ridge jacket in public. It’s a big step to take, one that I know he understands the gravity of.

“You look gorgeous. Those jeans were made for your body.”

His voice sounds like he choked on gravel. When I meet his eyes, I can see him fighting with himself. He wants to go to thisthing, but he also wants to ravish me. While I usually wouldn’t mind, the girls will be waiting.

“Thank you. Let’s get going.”

He mumbles something as I pass him, but I ignore it. It’s not until we are in the garage that I turn and look at him again. I hide my smile when I see his cock pushing against his jeans.

“Laugh it up. I don’t mind waiting, but you know what happens when I wait too long.”

I lick my lips thinking about the number of orgasms he’s given me all in the name of some punishment for a minor infraction. Let’s just say I don’t mind.

I fasten my helmet as he does the same before he climbs onto the bike. I take my spot behind him, and off we go. He takes a leisurely pace, his hand resting on my thigh for most of it. It feels so possessive, but in the best possible way, like he is telling the world that I belong to him.

I hold him tighter, loving the feel of his body against mine. I could live in this moment with him forever. Us on his bike, the wind in our hair, happiness the only thing on our minds.

All too soon, the ride comes to an end as he pulls into the bar’s parking lot. I’m not surprised to see the place already packed. The locals like hanging out at the place. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the company is good. It helps that most of the patrons are people the club has helped in the past. It makes the place feel more like home.

When we step off the bike, Ridge walks over to a prospect.

“You keep an eye out. Sound the alarm if you see anything,” I hear him tell the kid.

The kid nods in confirmation before Ridge reaches out his hand to me. Without hesitation, I slip mine into his and let him lead me into the bar.
