“Did you forget?” Raising his brows, Sin waited. “You forgot. Colton and Brigit, Crockett and Alexandra. You and me.”
“We need women.”
“You have one, and I’m surrounded by them.” His phone buzzed with an incoming text.
“So, pick one.”
Sinclair shook his head. “Not from here.”
“What about your company?”
Sinclair arched an eyebrow. “I’m a fixer, not a fucker.”
Maverick laughed.
“Are you staying for dinner?”
“Yeah. Meeting Carly at nine.”
“Sounds promising. Why didn’t she stick around?”
“Dinner with Lisa and Ed. I’ll see her later at target practice.”
“How romantic.” On a chuckle, Sinclair shook his head. “How was the funeral?”
“I couldn’t have gotten through it without her.”
“You always say that.”
“We had sex.”
A satisfied smile lifted his brother’s lips. “About time. Vanilla or kink?”
“Vanilla at a kink club. She got off on being seen. I was drowning and she threw me a lifeline.”
“She was topping from the bottom.”
Maverick chuffed out a laugh. “Whatever the hell that means. Look, all I know is that she’s my new addiction.”
Sinclair’s phone buzzed with another incoming text. “You two gonna make a go at it?”
“She shoved me back in the friend zone.”
A waiter delivered two tumblers. “Your Macallan, Mr. Develin.”
Sinclair raised his glass as his phone vibrated again on the table. “Bottoms up.” He tossed back a mouthful.
“What’s going on with you?” Maverick asked.
“Shit storm’s a brewin’.”
“Talk to me.”
“Dakota needs my help.”
“With what?”
“You know I can’t talk about that.” He flashed a wicked smile. “Let’s circle back to Carly. Do you love her? Never mind. I know the answer. The question is: What will you do about it?”
