He shook it. “Winner!”

She laughed.

Truth was, her throat was on fire. She could not wait for the medicine to kick in.

“Should I guess what you’d like?” she asked.

He leaned back in the office chair, placed his hands behind his head. “Go ‘head.”

“It’s gotta be sex. My guess is a blowjob.”

“I’d love one, but not now.”

“Straight up sex?”

He shook his head.

“Kinky? At your club?”

He leaned close. She breathed him in. He smelled like the perfect person to cuddle up to and fall asleep on.

I definitely don’t feel good. I never nap.

“I’m giving you a massage, then I’m making you something to eat that won’t rip your throat to shreds,” he said.

Relief pounded through her. “You are amazing.”

“I got you.”

On the way into his bedroom, he said, “Damn, I don’t have lotion.”

She swung into the guest bathroom, handed him her body lotion. Then, he brought her into his bedroom, helped her undress, and she crawled into his bed.

He moved her hair out of the way, kissed her shoulder. “Relax and enjoy,” he whispered.

His large, strong hands on her back felt like a present she never expected. A sigh floated from her lips.

“How’s the pressure?” he asked.

“Perfect.”

Brit had never gotten this pampered before. “I’m so happy I didn’t shoot you.”

He chuckled. “Me too, babe.”

She melted from his soothing touch… and from his words.

“I love being yours,” she whispered.

He kissed her bare back, his warm lips against her skin felt like the best medicine. If he found a knot, he’d rub it away before moving on. Next, he massaged her glutes, down her legs, to her feet.

“You are the perfect man,” she whispered.

“Not even close.”

He told her to roll over, covered her with the sheet, and massaged her arms and thighs. One tender kiss on her chest, then her lips. “Feel better?”

“So much,” she replied. “Thank you.”
