When my brother up and walks away from the family business, I do what every good son does—I leave a job I love, a community I thrive in, and a rent-controlled apartment to move back to Oak Grove and take his place. I might not know a lot about plumbing, but it’s me or no one. Nothing about the situation is ideal, but what other choice do I have?
