Lucy Longmont, boutique owner and wedding planner extraordinaire, never thought she'd really be planning a wedding for one of her best friends. It should feel like the greatest gift in the world, but in light of the fact she's lost the man she thought she might marry, it feels ... just plain hard.
Matt Trevor, single dad, and just a man trying to do the right thing for his daughter doesn't know why he agreed with the ex that he would uproot his life and move away from his hometown; she's the one who cheated on him, why does he always have to be the one to the right thing for their daughter. Well, because his ex wouldn't do the right thing, that's why.
But when his ten-year-old daughter is missing and ends up showing up in South Port ... with said woman he loves ... things start to change.
Of course, there's a South Port wedding to deal with and his daughter refuses to leave the side of the woman he told he had to put things on hold with.
As Matt navigates what is right and wrong he soon discovers ... in matters of the heart, none of that is ever very clear.
