White Horizons

“Sometimes in order to put ourselves first, we must be willing to give someone else a second chance.”

Clay Johnson

Let me tell you about life-changing moments. The catalyst for mine was standing on a street in New York City, watching the girl I was falling for jump into the arms of another man. Did she know I was there? No. At first I was shocked, then I was angry, for months. Because of this, I finally said, “No more.” No more being second place in my band, with my family, with my friends, or with the women I date. I’ve had enough, and I deserve better. I deserve to be first. The only problem is I can’t escape the girl or her bubbly personality. She’s everywhere I don’t want her to be and trying her best to work her way back into my good graces, which I refuse to allow. I made that mistake once, and I’m never going there again. Ever.

Emma White

I’ve always believed my loyalty to those I love is one of my greatest strengths. If I say I’m in, I’m in and will go down with a sinking ship. Unfortunately, over the last year, I wasn’t just sinking, I was drowning, drowning in a life I had committed to but no longer wanted. Instead, I dreamed of Clay. Clay with his arms that knew just how to hold me, his lips that instantly ignited swarms of butterflies when they touched mine, and eyes that always spoke volumes whenever they were aimed my way. The problem is, he’s made it clear he wants nothing to do with me. I don’t blame him, but I won’t be deterred. The heart wants what the heart wants, and mine wants him. I’ll do whatever it takes. He’s worth it. I’m worth it. I just need him to give me a second chance to prove it.
