“The blood witch has the same power Thaddeus does when he’s drunk Lilith’s blood and gotten a power boost,” Aziel said, steepling his fingers in front of him on the table. “She fucked with her mind, and they began the ritual. When she located the angel essence, Zelek was ecstatic. He married Mia, but the baby was a boy.”

“What did that matter?” I asked.

“Lilith’s soul needed a woman's body to reincarnate her soul in.”

“So her brothers are actually her blood brothers?” Kai ran a hand through his hair as he took a deep breath.

“Yes, and after two boys, he was successful in reincarnating Lilith. After she was born, I was told to stay by her side and protect her while he went back to Hell to prepare things.” Aziel shook his head. “I never knew where the blood witch went, or the real reason he had her reincarnated, but I didn’t care. I was blinded with the fact that Lilith had returned to us.” Tears welled up in his eyes as frustration overtook his demeanor. “I didn’t even consider the dangers in the future.”

“It’s okay, mate. We get it.” I smacked the table a couple of times. “I can’t imagine losing her to death. I wouldn’t think of anything except bringing her back.” What I lived with now was bloody excruciating. My soul was in agony over its missing piece...but a true death would end me along with her.

“Damn,” the pixie said, scratching her head. I’d forgotten she was here. “Is now a good time to tell you that I’ve been watching Lilith?”

All of our heads snapped toward the pixie.

“What do you mean?” Kai asked in a calm tone I knew nobody else here was capable of.

“And why the fuck didn’t you tell us that first?” Aziel growled, standing up as he slammed his hands down in front of him on the surface of the table as his chair flew backwards with force.

“I’ve been able to travel to Heaven, but I’m not able to break through the spirit realm into Heaven in physical form. She’s alive, but she’s weak.”

“Weak how?” Thaddeus narrowed his eyes at the little pixie.

“The bracelet was made by a witch, and it made her practically human. The angel with shiny silver hair has been taking care of her, but she doesn’t seem to care for him much.” She tapped her index finger on her lips as she fluttered her wings.

Aziel’s growl shook the foundation as blue flames licked up his arms. “Are you fucking telling me she’s mortal around Gabriel?”

She nodded, her hair bouncing around her face as she grinned. “Yes, exactly. If the pretty angel is Gabriel. I was there the first time she gave into those vampire instincts and fed. He got very turned on. I thought for a moment they were going to fuck, but Lilith got mad and pulled away so I left.” She sighed. “Party pooper.”

I gripped the edge of the table and the wood cracked underneath the pressure, indenting to my fingers. Fucking pixie. “Where is she in Heaven?”

The pixie’s grin turned into a frown. “I’m not sure. I was able to find her by appearing in the room she was in by manifesting near her, but I don’t know where the room is. Which is so unnatural.”

Black flames exploded in between the dining room and kitchen as Titan, Bran, and Orenn appeared.

“Fuck! I hate that stuff,” Bran snapped with a shiver.

Orenn stepped forward, glancing around the manor as he inspected what he could see. “This is a nice ass place.”

“Clean too,” Titan muttered.

“Thank you!” The pixie gleamed at them. “Pleasure to meet you. Are you also part of Lilith’s harem?”

“No,” Aziel growled. “They’re not.”

“But why are you here? News?” My grip on the table loosened as my hands fell in my lap. “This is all driving me bonkers, so please tell me you have something.”

Titan nodded, and Bran grinned.

“Theo made friends with that human soul, Emma, who sent a message to you all from Lilith,” Orenn said, and we all jumped up, chairs screeching backward. Kai even tipped over, crashing to the floor before leaping back to his feet and giving him his full attention.

“What?” Aziel barked.

“She’s locked away in some room that only the blood witch can access. Emma said Gabriel took her and Hunter in the Garden next to a cave where the witch has been hiding out, and the witch did some strange magic for them to get into the room. Gabriel can teleport out of the room no problem. The bracelet sealed her power, and Gabriel isn’t the enemy right now.”

What?

I need to restart my bloody brain right now. What the fuck did she just say... Gabriel’s not the enemy?
